OMG ! Day 9

I caught cold last weekend. I sweat doing workout and I got cold when meditating with windows open. Maybe I caught cold at school, who knows. Everyone is coughing.
I stayed home on Monday and Wednesday. I went to school on Tuesday because I was supposed to check all the comments on the report cards. And on Thursday I came home early. It snowed on Friday and school finished at 3pm. I was relieved because I was supposed to chaperon the HS Valentine's semi formal dance.
I did my workout even though I wasn't feeling well. I thought the workout will give me the energy  but from Thursday to Saturday I thought I need to rest. Wow when I was doing PCP I never skipped the workout more than a day.
Today's workout was good. Jumping was lot easier than last part of PCP. I made sure that I won't get cold during meditation.

We seldom have snow where I live. People are not used to drive in the snow including me. I got snow tires for my car this year. I have a sleeping bag (for winter camping) in my car.

Anyway I drove safely home on Friday in snow. And saw the park covered with snow when walked my dog. It was beautiful.  It will never gets like where Deborah lives though.

It was  a nice day today. Some people paddling SUP. Wish I had one so that I could go paddling on a warm day like today.

Food: Eggs are back in my fridge. It is my routine to steam vegetables twice or three times a week. My favorites are daikon radish, carrot, lotus root and pumpkin in winter.
And I cook chicken with onion & tomato in Tajine. It's easy and delicious.
Yogurt and fruits are my favorite. No carbs for dinner is fine.
I go to the cafe with my dog every day to have dinner.  This place serves good food for people and  a bowl of various vegetables with lam/chicken/lever cooked in soup for dog.
I'd rather have a soup bowl for my dog during Kung Fu Body.

Valentine's Day tomorrow.

Are you planning something special for your sweet heart ?

Nothing for me.

xoxo

  1. Yes I love eggs. I've kept eating them on a regular basis since PCP this past summer with you and Tara. Not so much the egg whites but often one in the morning with veggies of some kind.

Odd that several of us got sick right here at the beginning. Hmmmmm...

No insight on that, just noticed.

Doing great Naoko. Driving in snow is basically one thing - go slow.

  2. Not a big deal to miss a day during these first weeks, just stay strong for the next few weeks as you'll need to encode these exercises into your muscle memory. Come down sometime!

  4. Yes, eggs! I hardly ever ate them before PCP and they've stayed part of my breakfast routine. Delicious, filling, versatile, quick... :)

  8. Oh, sorry guys. I've been feeling so weak lately. After I recovered from cold, I've been feeling strange pain in the lower back. So I've been skipping workout. It's very frustrating. I am eating OK, but....
